Self Storage is a Service that offers both RESIDENTIAL and BUSINESS users access to individual storage spaces. The spaces are designed to be clean, dry, and private; only the customer has a code to the space. Does Stor-It offer Space for INDIVIDUAL & BUSINESS Customers?
Yes, we serve Individual and Business customers. Individual customers receive convenient Payment Coupons in lieu of billing or e-mailed invoices are avaible. Business customers are billed by mail or e-mail monthly upon request. All prices are the same, and there are some long-term discounts available.

What does "Site" Manager mean?
"On-Site" Manager means that an employee is at the location during normal business operating hours which varies from site to site. Please check with your Manager for a list of days and times of operation. Once you rent however, Gate Access Hours are 24/7 at most Stor-It locations.
Does Stor-It have Video Serveillance?
Stor-It Self Storage uses video cameras as a monitoring measure. Cameras are generally located at the point of entry and exit and other areas around the facility. Because of these cameras, our tenants are eligible to apply for Personal self storage insurance coverage that will be explained at the time of rental. The company does not insure the individual customer’s goods. This must be purchased by the tenant and is their responsibility.
Can Anybody ENTER the Property or, do you need a CODE?
Our facilities have Electronic Access Gate Systems with 24 hour Access available which can only be opened by a Gate Access Code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The Code, once entered, allows us to monitor who is entering the facility based on tenant records with time and date stamps.
Do I Need INSURANCE?
Stor-It offers our customers Insurance on their Stored Items, in collaboration with Minico Insurance. Please ask the storage Counselor at any Stor-It facility for details.
What kind of SECURITY does Stor-It have?
Stor-It Self Storage takes great pride in our facilities. We feature Electronic Gates with Coded Access, Video Surveillance, and Fenced and Well-Lit Facilities. Personal Locks are available for purchase from our Moving & Packing Supply Store online or at each facility we have supplies as well.
What does it Cost?
The cost of storage depends on the size of the space you need (or want)! We suggest you use our What Fits? Estimator to determine what size will work best for you or give us a call to help determine the size you might need. Our storage Counselors are always ready to help you determine the correct size, as well. Your rental is simply month-to-month. This means no long-term commitments, and you can be invoiced monthly.
Are there any Additional Costs?
At Stor-It, there is an Administration Fee of $10. We provide a standard Lock for FREE! Insurance is an extra cost, if you should choose to purchase it from our affiliate company. It is entirely optional and up to you.
How Do I PAY?
Stor-It has several Payment options available - We accept Visa, Mastercard, & Discover, or stop by your location and pay In Person or over the Phone payments with Authorization Forms on file, as well as Online Payments available from this Web site. Simply choose your Site using the Location Finder, and select the Payment button and verify your payment online. Of course, you can always stop by the site and pay by cash, check, or card, or just mail us a check. Credit Card Authorization on file avoids late fees and payments.
What are the Payment TERMS?
Stor-It Self Storage strives to make your storage experience as hassle free as possible, including paying your bill. Typically, our leases are month-to-month but we also offer the flexibility of long-term leases. We can automatically charge your Mastercard® or Visa® each month. Online Payments are possible by going to the Reservations & Payments button on the main menu and then choosing your site and filling in the Payment information tab.
What SIZES are Available & How do I Pick my Size?
We offer a wide range of sizes and locations in the Treasure Valley to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 5'x6' to 16'x60' as well as units with Pull-Up Access with Garage type doors, Standard Door access units, Outdoor units, and Outdoor Covered units. Determining the right size is easy with the help of our "What Fits? Estimator" and the help of our Managers who are all trained to assist you in this process.
Do I get a LOCK when I Rent a Unit?
Yes, Locks are Provided FREE of Charge to you and, you can also purchase a new lock at your local Stor-It facility or online here. Please visit our Moving & Packing Supply Store where we offer more locks and packing supplies. You also might want to purchase a disc lock for easy access besides the combination locks we provide.
What is a DRIVE-UP Unit?
A Drive-Up Unit has outside access. This gives you the ability to Load your belongings directly from a Vehicle or Truck and this is a feature of ALL our units.
What's the Difference between OFFICE & GATE Hours?
The Office Hours are the hours of Operation for the Site when the Manager is on Duty. During these hours the Stor-It Manager will be available to assist you with your Storage Needs or perhaps some Moving & Packing Supply items. The Gate Hours are the Hours of your Access to your Unit. This is when your Unit can be Accessed. At most of our locations the Gate Access is 24 Hours / 7 Days a week for your Convenience.
How far in Advance can I BOOK a Reservation?
We give you the Flexibility to Book a Reservation up to 30 days in Advance to help you plan ahead. This depends on availability of the size you need and at which site you are wanting to rent. Depending on availability, if you Reserve Online from this web site we may be able to hold your unit longer with a $20 Reservation Fee that is applied to your Initial Months Rent. How do ONLINE Reservations work?
Based on your preferred Location, and the Unit Size you require, an email will be sent directly to our storage Counselor. You will be Contacted, within 24 Hours, with a Price and Availability. You are under No Obligation to Rent at this point! If you would like, you can Reserve the Unit for $20 from this web site by using the Location Finder and then choose Reservation. This $20 Reservation Fee will go toward your First Month's Rent – so it's really a FREE Reservation! We'll hold the unit for up to 30 days based on availability. We will contact you if the size you Reserved is needed by another so you can decide to rent or not at that time. Reserving today gives you some assurance that you will have the space you need and that it is Available when you need it.
How do I CANCEL my Lease?
No need to Panic about giving us Notice to Vacate — we know you have enough to keep track of so we only ask for 5 days Notice. When you decide to Move Out, give us a Call, Contact the Manager for your site Online, or Stop by the Office and say Goodbye. Make sure to Leave our Lock on the Unit and the Unit as you received it!
